Tim Brown Will Not Make Hall of Fame in 2012

Written by on February 4, 2012 in News, Raiders - No comments

Saturday afternoon the NFL Hall of Fame Committee selected six players to enter football’s most prestigious club. Tim Brown was not one of them.

The forty four person panel chose a group of new inductees lead by former Jets All-Pro running back Curtis Martin along with linemen Chris Doleman, Cortez Kennedy, Willie Roaf, Dermontti Dawson, and senior committee selection Jack Butler.  The inductions will take place in August in Canton, Ohio.

Unfortunately, Brown will not be there.

Easily the most prolific receiver in the history of the Raiders franchise, Brown’s career acheivements include compiling 1,094 receptions, 14,934 receiving yards and 100 touchdowns over his 17 seasons.

Brown was not the only borderline case who did not get in, however. Receiver Cris Carter, running back Jerome Bettis and coach Bill Parcells were all passed over as well.

Look for all four of these names to be on the list of finalists again in 2013

I guess all we can says, better luck next year guys.
